Day 200

I did practice the past couple of days a little, but didn't post it. I'm going to try to get better at posting.

Today, mostly practiced "Guantanamera" from Method Book II.

Bored. Questioning. Discouraged.

Exploring this: http://www.pianoweb.com/index.htm

Also, ordered book one of this: http://www.alanswainmusic.com/four-way.html

Wondering if Sudnow's method might work better for my indiviual learning style if I was to not try to learn it in the context of songs, but with more memorizing of chords and note degrees.

Tried playing a little of Charlie Brown Christmas stuff. Frustrating.

Also working on p.30 of the "Take the Lead" book.

Day 195

Seeing its the 4th of July, I finally am celebrating Independence Day from "Here Comes the Bride!"

Looks like today is shaping up into a mega-piano day...stay tuned.....

Working on p. 25 of the "Take the Lead" book.

Decided to stop using Hanon.

I always liked how the Beatles' "Norwegian Wood" and Dylan's "Fourth Time Around" sound similar.....here's an attempt of merging them, using the Beatles lyrics and musical theme, some of Dylan's music, and .....ahem.....my singing debut on this blog.....
