Conti

Started today to work on the first song on Conti's first Ticket to Improv video: Satin Doll. As in my struggles with learning the piano, I would probably benefit from turning off the thinking and just concentrating on the playing.

Here is a picture of my new Epiphone Les Paul Tribute Plus that arrived today. Started working through Robert Conti's "Ticket to Improv" (Volume One).

Was a bit difficult decide.....either the Epiphone Les Paul Tribute Plus or a Gypsy Jazz guitar....decided on the Epiphone, ordered it, and it should arrive in about a week!

The New Guitar

Here is the probable new guitar to be probably purchased probably tomorrow. An Epiphone Les Paul Tribute Plus. It's tone knobs can be pushed in and out to give different tones.

Update

Piano at worst will be given up. At best it will be on hold. Knowing me it will only be on hold.

Traded my Martin for cash and a Peavey Classic 30 Amp. Toyed around with getting into Gypsy Jazz guitar and buying one. But will get the Epiphone Les Paul Tribute Plus. May be joining a blues band and/or do more jazz playing. Either way, want to learn how to improve my lead playing.

Yesterday marked the 32nd year since John died. Here is a picture taken just hours before he was shot. Still feel cheated that he was taken away...

The WHO

Saw the Who last night perform Quadrophenia and a bunch of their other songs. Our seats weren't that great, but a worker upgraded us for free to Section 5 on the Floor! Awesome show. Pete on guitar is just great. What a great image of rock music: Pete playing a power chord utilizing the windmill!
