Went back a bit to the joy of melody in going over some of my chord melody songs. Do not want to lose this skill, and I can't say enough about Robert Conti's "Assembly Line" in teaching this.
Considering utilizing Herb Ellis books or Conti's "Ticket to Improv." I am all over the place, I realize, with my sources of learning material.
