Piano

Usually I would painstakingly learn one song at a time on the piano. And then promptly forget it.

Learning a new way, trying to learn a bunch. Using a step by step process and I’m finding it actually *enjoyable.* It’s a process described by Willie Myette, in which the student learns standards by learning first the right hand  melodies, and then other parts step by step. I find it refreshing in that he talks about getting the steps down *on a number of songs* rather than mastering one song at a time. Today worked on “Autumn Leaves,” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” getting my feet wet with his system. If you are reading this, Willie, thanks!
