This blog is about me and my music. My current focus is on learning piano using the Sudnow Method and guitar improvisation. I currently play guitar in a band that concentrates on playing the early rock and roll of the 50’s and 60’s. I also play guitar in a trio setting that focuses more on the jazzy side. Seemingly irrelevant posts on this blog reflect topics that are probably expressed in my music somewhere.

Still on p.89 of the Mehod Book. Talked to a local piano teacher....I may check him out...
Hi, I was reading your blog, and the book How to Play From a Fake Book" by Michael Esterowitz was mentioned, so I looked it over at Amazon, and think it might be a good one. I ordered it. I am about the same place you are in Alfreds, and I also use Piano Adventures. Another nice book for teaching fake book playing is Pop Piano Pro, but it is still a little above my level right now. Join the thread I started on Piano World. My name is Dale, and I go by blues flat 7. The thread is titled Pop Piano Pro and Adult Piano Adventures. Pete, the guy that wrote the Pop Piano Pro book, is a teacher and he is giving a lot of help on that thread.
