This blog is about me and my music. My current focus is on learning piano using the Sudnow Method and guitar improvisation. I currently play guitar in a band that concentrates on playing the early rock and roll of the 50’s and 60’s. I also play guitar in a trio setting that focuses more on the jazzy side. Seemingly irrelevant posts on this blog reflect topics that are probably expressed in my music somewhere.

Managed to have a productive yet frustrating piano day. Finished learning my Moody clusters (for now, anyway, as more can be added), and played part of one song using my combined system, and it sounded quite good. But then I played part of a different song, and, well, the dissonance got on my nerves. If I keep using this system, I'm thinking I'll sound really the same with all the dissonance. Wonder if it's dissonant depending on key of song. Made a recording of the second song and sent it to five friends asking them if the dissonance was too much...
