This blog is about me and my music. My current focus is on learning piano using the Sudnow Method and guitar improvisation. I currently play guitar in a band that concentrates on playing the early rock and roll of the 50’s and 60’s. I also play guitar in a trio setting that focuses more on the jazzy side. Seemingly irrelevant posts on this blog reflect topics that are probably expressed in my music somewhere.

May 28, 2012 / Memorial Day /
Just a thank you out there if any vets out there are reading this on Memorial Day.
Today has been a grueling but rewarding day at the piano. Learned and tried to ingrain in my brain four Moody clusters for each of the following notes: C, D, E, F, G, and A. Yes, I might know them, but it's difficult to implement them in the context of a song.
Also, could not resist. I'm on page 12 of the Improvising Blues Piano book.
