THE POP PIANO BOOK by Mark Harrison

• I'm going to work out of this Harrison book and its accompanying CDs. I think it will be a lot of work, but when it comes to memorization, what is learned can be applicable to playing songs sooner (in the long run). I tried memorizing songs, and it either does not work for me, or I did not give it long enough. However, I think if I put more time into chord inversions and yes, even some scale stuff, I can apply this stuff better (but after the groundwork is provided). 

• Going to try to work on making a syllabus to work through the parts of the book that I want to focus on.
