In response to my post below, I think I just have to make my goals more realistic. I think I'm expecting too much if I want to memorize 9 chords a day. It gets very complicated as they add up; confusion gives way to frustration which can lead to quitting.
I think I'll just need to slow down and work on mastery of small bits at a time rather than obtaining a mish mash of confusing chord fingerlings in my brain. Slow down, patience, and work on mastery.
